Kennedy Center to recognize International Overdose Awareness Day

A local nonprofit serving those who struggle with addiction will recognize International Overdose Awareness Day with a drive-through event educating citizens about drug addiction and overdose on Aug. 31.
The Berkeley County-based Ernest E. Kennedy Center will hold a Narcan and Deterra drive-through event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the organization’s Goose Creek facility at 96 Wisteria Road, according to a Kennedy Center press release. Representatives at the organization will also provide attendees with information about drugs and how to help those struggling with addiction.
