DEA Drug Take Back Day is Saturday

The Drug Enforcement Administration is holding its biannual Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 29.

As of 2020, about 82% of Americans were throwing their unused or expired prescriptions in the trash. Some research has shown that people do not know there is a proper way to dispose of these medications.

The DEA holds the Drug Take Back Day nationally twice year to promote the safe disposal of expired or unused prescription drugs.
