Business forum shines a light on opioid crisis

Kennebunk Savings Bank is combatting the opioid crisis by distributing  Deterra bags at the bank’s branch locations.

ARUNDEL — Doug Griffin, the director at the Addiction Policy Forum located in Washington, D.C., lost his daughter five years ago to an overdose of fentanyl. He became an advocate, and now travels the country educating people about the brain science of addiction and sharing his company’s products.

This past Wednesday morning, Griffin was joined by over 100 business representatives, experts, and panelists at Vinegar Hill Music Theatre in Arundel for Kennebunk Savings’, “Shining a Light: A Business Forum on the Opioid Crisis.” The forum was intended to help business and community leaders learn what they can do to support employees living with substance abuse disorders.
