Local organizations that have signed up include the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, the Sandusky Police Department and the Kelleys Island Police Department, said Jenny Camper, a consultant with the Rx Abuse Leadership Initiative (RALI) of Ohio, an alliance of more than 25 groups working with sheriffs in the state.

The association is encouraging sheriffs to give out the drug disposal kits at county fairs and other public events.
