Meet Angela Faircloth

Your partner in Prevention

Who i am

Hi, I’m Angela, Vice President of Sales at Deterra. I have built my career around helping organizations create meaningful change through collaboration, strategic planning, and community engagement.

I am deeply passionate about helping others and believe prevention is most effective when we meet people where they are and remove barriers to accessing resources and support. That philosophy guides everything I do and has shaped my commitment to working with organizations that are making a difference in their communities.

Today, I partner with state agencies, health departments, healthcare organizations, coalitions, and community leaders across the country to develop innovative medication disposal and prevention initiatives that protect families, reduce risk, and strengthen communities. My goal is not simply to provide a product, it’s to help organizations implement sustainable, evidence-based solutions that create lasting impact and improve community health outcomes.

Every day should be Drug Take Back Day

Deterra supports harm reduction and prevention efforts, complementing your programs to make a meaningful impact in your community.

Our mission, in partnership with you, is to reduce drug misuse, diversion, and the harmful environmental impact of pharmaceuticals and other addictive substances, including opioids, fentanyl, xylazine (“Tranq”), vaping liquids, gummies, and other illicit substances.

what i do

I work with organizations to develop strategic prevention and public health initiatives that increase access to safe medication disposal while supporting broader community health goals.

I help organizations:

  • Build sustainable and evidence-based prevention initiatives that align with local needs and priorities
  • Reach residents with prevention messaging, educational resources, and community support services
  • Connect individuals and families to local treatment, recovery, crisis intervention, and support resources
  • Leverage grant funding, opioid settlement funding, and public health resources effectively
  • Expand access to safe medication disposal through community outreach and household distribution strategies
  • Remove barriers that prevent residents from participating in traditional take-back programs
  • Measure impact and demonstrate outcomes to stakeholders and funders

My approach combines public health strategy, community engagement, and operational expertise to help organizations maximize their investment and create meaningful results.

My goal: to help communities turn prevention funding into measurable action that protects individuals, families, the environment, and future generations.

why this mission matters to me

Prevention is more than a profession for me—it’s personal.

I’ve seen firsthand how substance misuse impacts families, communities, and entire support systems. That experience fuels my commitment to helping organizations implement proactive solutions that can prevent tragedy before it happens.

What inspires me most is working alongside passionate public health professionals, prevention specialists, coalition leaders, and healthcare organizations that are committed to making their communities safer. Every project represents an opportunity to reduce risk, increase awareness, and empower residents with tools that support healthier outcomes.

I believe lasting change happens when education, prevention, and access come together. That’s why I’m proud to help organizations implement programs that not only remove unused medications from homes but also strengthen community resilience and create a culture of prevention.

Together, we can move beyond awareness and create real, measurable impact.
