LAS CRUCES – Doña Ana County residents safely disposed of 753 pounds of medications at the Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Drug Take-Back Day held the last Saturday of October. Due to the uncertainty brought on by the pandemic this year, DEA and local law enforcement hosted DEA National Drug Take-Back Day as a drive-through event for Doña Ana County community members. Westmoreland hosts drive-thru distribution of free Deterra Drug Deactivation Pouches

WESTMORELAND, PA – A community drive-thru distribution of free naloxone (Narcan) and Deterra drug deactivation bags will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 12 in the parking lot of Calvary Church, 8653 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin. When administered quickly and effectively, Narcan is used to counteract the effects of opioids taken in life-threatening quantities. Instruction on the administration of Narcan will be provided. Plymouth County Outreach hosts drug take-back event

Plymouth County Outreach, in collaboration with Plymouth Youth Development Collaborative and the Plymouth Area Substance Use Prevention Collaborative, hosted a fall drug take-back event Oct. 24. The drug take-back event was held at the Plymouth Police Department and was held as part of National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The event allowed residents to clean out their medicine cabinets and discard any unwanted or expired prescription medications. The Plymouth Fire Department was on hand to collect sharps for disposal.
