Medication disposal pouches make it easy to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) –– The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy is distributing medication disposal pouches for free, that makes it easy to get rid of unwanted prescription drugs. The university at Buffalo got about 20,000 of these medication disposal system pouches from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. There’s a powder substance inside the pouch that binds up the drug and deactivates it so no one else can use it. The school is distributing them for free at local pharmacies, health fairs, and local assembly member’s offices.
